Hello again

Hi Everyone....

I apologize for missing birthdays and responding to posts....these past 8 months have been crazy here in Maryland. I got a new job teaching at a community college (I only wish it were at Rowan University!) and had a baby in January. Now with summer here, my thoughts go back 20 years (!) to my first experience at L-N-T. I am so sad that my son won't experience it---unless we all do win the lottery and take it back!

I hope everyone is well and had a great birthday. I am going to try and catch up on the 482 posts I have missed in these last few months. By the way, Rich Balzer is going to be a dad again...his wife is expecting their third child this summer. If only we knew then what we know now, huh?

Later Twiggers!

Welcome back Tammy, glad to have you return. Post a picture of the baby. It is summer and my thoughts are somewhat missing camp. I am basically just waiting tables at night and sleeping during the day. My writing has been sparked by a new website, Sci-fistudios.com, where science fiction fans get a chance to be involved however they want in creating stuff. I am like a head of a staff writing team working on a few stories that are very interesting so far. Hope they really can become movies or tv series.

I have the control of anything that I have written and the copyright. For the project that I am mostly working on it is a group effort under my direction so when fully written I will have it copywrighted throgh the website most likely. It is a complete collaboration on this story. All of my completed stuff is mine though.

Hi Gene! I saw that you joined the tribe. I also read about your success at the film festivals. I have a friend who works at IFC in the tv division, but she attends a lot of the independent film fesitivals looking for talent. I will pass your name along as someone she should look for....you never know.

Scott, sounds like you are back to being your incredibly talented self! I am glad you are writing again. Whatever happened to the book you wrote? I thought it was good....anything come of that?

I will post a picture of Matthew...as soon as I figure out how to do that!!

    :-)

I finished the book and nothing new really came of it. I was thinking of possibly putting it on the Sci-fi Studios site or will figure something else out, right now am working on the new story and just working as a waiter, so really haven't pushed the book thing. I f you still have any connections of anyone that would atleast want to read it, let me know. Your friend at IFC Tv division sounds like a good person to also talk to about Summer Kind of Fun, which never stopped being worked on into a series and I have about 15 episodes written many updated from the original Twig days, but I still feel would make a fantastic series.

If it's something you're relly serious about(Summer kind of fun), I believe that Comedy Channel is giving people the opportunity to send in ideas for tv shows and If they like it, they'll make it. I'm pretty sure it's comedy channel, anyway, do you have a script, a pilot, a rundown of characters...? When my friends and I did a Public Access show about 7 years ago here in Tampa(we did skits and had ridiculously assanine panel discussions), we did a bunch of skits about counselors that played tricks on campers and were all backstabbers in Soap Opera form. We called it "As the Twig is Bent". So I have some ideas if you decide you want any input(and of course you are free to use the title if you like).
