Wed, May 24, 2006 - 10:07 AMThe Worst Olympic Team by Far, That I can remember was Cousteau Blue. I mean we were not even close to contention going into song fest...Even if we had a clean sweep in song fest we would not have broken 2nd place, that is how far behind we were....I remember how bad it was...The best thing from out team was our banner. Our songs were weak, we were forgetting the words, it was ugly...But is all good the next year in 92 went from wrost to first.... -

Re: whitney cohen or anyone else that remembers that art garfunkle song
Wed, May 24, 2006 - 11:57 AMCongrats and Happy B-Day Dave. Was that Cousteau Blue team the same year as Green Peace. I remember sliding down a rope from the rafters painted green and giving some speech about not polluting or something and on the way down the rope I got the worst rope burn on my legs.
Wait a minute.....you were just sitting aroung in Boulder and Glenn and Moe walked by?!?!?! That's about as random as anything I think I've heard. Reminds me of the scene in Coming to America when the barber says he ran into MLK.
"Ya know, Sweets, I met Dr. Martin Luther King once."
"You lyin'! You ain't never met Dr. Martin Luther King."
"Yeah, I met Dr. Martin Luther King in 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. I'm walkin' down the street, mindin' my own business, just walkin' along, feelin' good. I walk around a corner. A man walk up, hit me in my chest, right? I fall on the ground, right? And I look up, and it's Dr. Martin Luther King! I said, 'Dr. King!' He said, 'Oops, I thought you was somebody else.' "
"Aw, man, you lyin'. You ain't never met Martin Luther, the King!"
"Knocked the wind outta me! Yes, he did!"
"No, he didn't!"
"Yes, he did!"
"No, he did not!" -

Please call me - I think I have a really old number for you.
I will look into the art garfunkle song - all I remember is that it brought us straight to victory!
