Sun, August 13, 2006 - 2:47 PMI can't believe anyone could ever forget Bunko!! It was the best thing all summer, lay around in the bunk all day, read comics, play jacks, girls got to set their hair on big rollers, and just lay in bed all day, and listen to the sounds of the falling rain!! I wish there were still days now where I could have bunko all day!! Sucks to grow up!! -

Re: What was Bunko
Sun, August 13, 2006 - 7:54 PMI think that we were so busy doing other stuff that it just didn't get to that. Then again, I think at all times there was always at least two or three people sleeping in our bunk so I think we had bunko, if by bunko you mean we were lazy. -

Re: What was Bunko
Thu, August 31, 2006 - 1:18 PMIt's all slowly coming back to me now. I thiink I remember us having a slam dink contest in the bunk using crupled up paper for a ball and dunking over the rafters. But then again, between me and lipoof and stutman and freedman and butch, we might have had bunko everyday if you factor in the counselor-camper laziness quotient. -

Re: What was Bunko
Thu, September 14, 2006 - 12:00 PMBeen a loooooonnnnnnnnnggggggg while since I checked in here. Bunko was like a holiday. You could sleep all friggin day.
Hey Gene, here are a few memories to bring you back.
I remember when you got your nose broken by an errant softball (at least I think that was you).
I remember your tiff with a catatonic Jesus.
I remember you dancing to "Every little step I take" every two seconds, you were quite the Bobby Brown fan in those days, goddamn we are old.
hmmmm....let's see
that's all I remember at the moment.
I read a few posts back. We got high together? Sweet. I guess it wouldn't be a surprise that I don't remember that since, well, I was high.
I do remember almost getting kicked out for drinking (when Scott Brody...no...the OTHER Scott Brody, there was one, really, and the redneck Kitchen boy, I forgot his name got the boot for said offense). I remember when I did get fired as a KB and then rehired 20 minutes later by Moe for getting caught in the girl bunks . But in both cases I don't think you were there that year. It was in-between you stays as I recall (however I my memory is a little funky about my ol' Twig days). -

Sat, September 16, 2006 - 1:53 PMBobby Brown days.hahahahahahahahaha yes, i do remember. What a dork i was.
I'm fuzzy on the Jesus thing.
When my nose got busted i think it was by the same guy you got kicked out with for drinking. I believe his name was Jerry Hood and he may or may not have been from horsham, pa. i think the kitchen boy chris also got kicked out. you may not have been there when we all smoked out behind the kb bunk near the path that went to the cit bunk. i remember always asking about your sister to get under your skin. -

Re: What was Bunko
Sat, September 16, 2006 - 3:26 PMThere was only one Scott Brody, me. There was a Dave Brody who I believe is of whom you refer. There were many Scotts as well, but truly just one Scott Brody. -

Re: What was Bunko
Wed, October 4, 2006 - 11:54 AMJesus was a kitchen boy who looked like...well...Jesus (from what I've been told, mind you, I have not met the man and from what my Christian freak co-worker says I never will :)
I just remember you getting all beligerent with him and he just sort of went catatonic. Weird, huh?
Yeah I remember the smack you used to talk about my sister. I added you to my death list but I lost it. Now I'll have to put you on the new one :P
I really don't remember ever smoking with you so you are probably right about that one, not to say I never did anything naughty in camp.............
